When I started my career at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, I became fascinated by the importance of knowledge transfer. There is so much knowledge about climate change, but how do you get it into people’s heads? That question put me on the trail of maps and visualizations that can tell the story. This is how the Climate Impact Atlas was born and how I eventually founded CAS. With the drive to better communicate the urgency of climate change and the need for adaptation. When I am not working, I prefer to go to the coast or play bass guitar or double bass in one of my bands.
