For the two Kenyan areas Kajiado and Kiambu, we developed a climate atlas with small-scale farmers and other local users, using tomatoes and maize as case studies. This climate service can be scaled up for other areas and other crops. This article describes how we developed the climate atlas through cocreation to meet the needs of local users. It also discusses our approach, lessons learned and key challenges.
