Heineken Brewery has high sustainability ambitions, aiming among other things for sustainable water use and responsible production of barley and hops. Climate change affects water availability and growing conditions for the <\/span>ingredients<\/span> in beer. Extreme heat, drought and precipitation can lead to shortages of <\/span>ingredients <\/span>such as barley and hops. As a result of climate change, growing conditions will continue to deteriorate in many places. Using the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), CAS calculated agronomic indicators to analyse the impact of climate change on barley production. An <\/span><\/span>interactive atlas<\/span><\/span><\/a> shows the results of the project.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/div>\n
